Justin Neumann, M.A., CPP, serves as the Commander of the Mankato Department of Public Safety, overseeing the Strategic Response Division since October 2007. Neumann's extensive experience includes roles such as Administrative Sergeant, responsible for emergency management and internal affairs, and Patrol Sergeant, providing leadership during critical incidents. Additionally, Neumann is the co-founder and Business Development Manager at FlashlightNOW, a technology company enhancing the security service hiring process. Neumann has also instructed at Northwestern University's Center for Public Safety and the Upper Midwest Community Policing Institute. With a strong educational background including a Master’s in Security Management and multiple leadership training programs, Neumann is well-versed in threat assessment, policy planning, and event management.
