Brian Montgomery is a seasoned professional in climate action and resiliency with diverse experience in various roles related to environmental sustainability and community engagement. Currently serving as the Climate Action and Resiliency Advisor for the City of Maple Ridge since September 2023, Brian has previously worked as a Climate, Resilience and Sustainability Professional at WSP in Canada and Wood. Other notable positions include the Official Community Plan Facilitator for the Village of Kaslo, WildSafeBC Community Coordinator for the BC Conservation Foundation, and Climate Change Program Coordinator at the Inuvialuit Regional Corporation. Brian's extensive background includes significant contributions to community energy planning, air quality management, and public education on wildlife conflict. Educational credentials include a Master’s in Environmental Studies from York University and a Bachelor of Science from Brock University, amongst other qualifications.
