Chad Cowles

Chad Cowles currently serves as the Manager of Bylaw and Community Safety for the City of Maple Ridge, a position held since September 2019, after previously working as a Bylaw Compliance Officer in Community Safety. Chad has an extensive background in community service, having held roles such as Director and Business Development Manager at Night Hoops Basketball Society from September 2006 to May 2022, and Executive Director of The Vancouver Basketball Foundation™ from March 2019 to November 2019. Additional experience includes serving as a Paid On-Call Fire Fighter with the Scotch Creek/Lee Creek Fire Department from April 2012 to November 2019, and various positions at the City of Vancouver from May 2004 to November 2018, culminating as Superintendent of Citywide Services. Chad's educational credentials include a Master of Arts in Leadership focused on Executive Leadership from Royal Roads University, a Bachelor of Arts in Middle Eastern History from Simon Fraser University, a variety of firefighting certifications from Southern Arkansas University Tech, and an Associate of Science in Physics, Calculus, and Computer Science from Kwantlen Polytechnic University.
