Laura Philpot

Laura Philpot serves as the City Manager of Maple Valley, WA since June 2015, previously holding the roles of Public Works and Community Development Director. Prior to this, Laura worked at the City of Sammamish from July 2008 to June 2015 as Assistant City Manager and Director of Public Works, as well as Deputy Director of Public Works and City Engineer. Laura's experience also includes serving as the Transportation Manager at the City of Auburn from April 2000 to June 2008, and working as a Project Engineer at Scarsella Brothers Inc. and Baugh Construction. Laura holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Washington, earned between 1993 and 1997.
