Gradon Nelson

Gradon Nelson has an extensive background in emergency services and public administration. Currently serving as a Firefighter EMT for the City of Maplewood since October 2022, Gradon also holds a position as a Paid-On-Call Firefighter for the City of Red Wing since May 2015. Previous roles include Firefighter EMT for the City of Savage and Supervisor at Red Wing Water Park, where responsibilities included managing daily operations and staff training for a high-capacity facility. Gradon's early career featured positions such as Team Lead at the Division of Technology Services at the University of Wisconsin River Falls and Legislative Intern for the Minnesota Senate, where skills in customer service and office management were developed. Gradon holds a Master of Public Administration from Hamline University and a Bachelor of Science in Political Science from the University of Wisconsin-River Falls.
