Lauren Carter

Lauren Carter is an experienced communications professional currently serving as the Communications Manager for the City of Mauldin since April 2023. With a strong background in writing and strategic communications, Lauren has been self-employed as a Freelance Writer since May 2005. Previous roles include Senior Strategic Communications Manager and Senior Content Manager at the University of Massachusetts from December 2016 to July 2020, Assistant Editor and Staff Writer at The Sun Chronicle from November 2011 to November 2016, and Arts & Entertainment Correspondent at the Boston Herald from December 2006 to March 2012. Lauren began a writing career as a Staff Writer at The Sun Chronicle from September 2005 to September 2006.
