A nature wonderland, McMinnville, Tennessee is known for being the Nursery Capital of the World, operating more than 300 nurseries in and around the city. Although mostly commercial, there are a few local open orchards as well as a farmer’s market.

Each May, McMinnville serves as the rallying point for the McMinnville Mountain Crawl- an adventure race featuring caving, biking, and kayaking, as well as the McMinnville City Triathlon featuring a 200-meter swim, 11.5-mile bike ride, and a 2-mile run.
