Reggie Leon

Councilman at City of Miami Gardens

Councilman Reggie Leon is a lifelong resident of the great City of Miami Gardens. He attended Crestview Elementary, Parkway Middle and Hialeah Miami Lakes High School. He is a proud graduate of Florida Memorial University, having earned a degree in Criminal Justice. Councilman Leon is a devoted family man, father of 2 daughters and a loyal friend. He is a staunch advocate for the residents of Miami Gardens and has been involved in various community organizations. He is the product of a single parent household where values, hard work and education were instilled.

Councilman Leon is a community activist and leader; his work includes: serving as a board member for Florida Youth Football League, serving on the board of directors for Elderly Housing Development & Operations Corporation and serving on the executive cabinet of the 100 Black Men of South Florida. Professionally, he has been employed with UPS in management for 20 years. He also serves as co-chair for the Florida district of the UPS African-American Business Resource Group. In 2016, Legacy Magazine recognized Councilman Leon as one of South Florida’s 40 Leaders under the age of 40 and was recognized “As One of South Florida’s Most Influential Black Business Leaders for 2019.”

Councilman Leon lives by the motto “It always seems impossible, until it’s done” by Nelson Mandela.
