Dr. Claire Gurney

Dr. Claire Gurney is an experienced professional in the fields of criminal justice and public administration. Currently serving as an Adjunct Instructor at Nova Southeastern University since June 2021, Dr. Gurney has also been a Police Lieutenant with the City of Miami Springs since May 1998. Dr. Gurney holds a Doctor of Criminal Justice degree from PennWest California, obtained between 2018 and 2020, and completed the FBI National Academy's Session 278 in 2019. Additionally, Dr. Gurney attended the Senior Management Institute for Police through the Police Executive Research Forum in 2016 and possesses a Master of Public Administration from Florida International University.
