Michelle Johnson is an experienced urban planner with a strong background in municipal planning and program management. Since August 2021, Michelle has served as an Associate Planner at the City of Mill Valley. Prior to this role, Michelle worked as the Assistant City Planner and Cannabis Program Manager at the City of Willits, where responsibilities included overseeing the Cannabis Program and managing permit issuance. Michelle's earlier positions include Planner II at the City of Novato and Associate Planner at the City of Ukiah, where tasks involved interpreting regulations, conducting development application reviews, and formulating community development strategies. Michelle's experience also encompasses marketing and event coordination in the wine industry, complemented by a BA in Economics/Environmental Studies with a Planning Concentration from Sonoma State University.
