Human Resource Manager at City of Minneapolis

Destiny Xiong has a diverse work experience in the field of human resources. Destiny started their career in 2000 as a Staffing and Training Specialist at Marsden Building Maintenance/American Security LLC, where they worked until 2004. From 2005 to 2007, they served as a Human Resource Representative at Employers Association. Destiny then moved on to YWCA of Minneapolis, where they worked as a Human Resource Manager from 2007 to 2013. Destiny joined the City of Minneapolis in 2013 and held various positions, including Human Resource Business Partner and Interim Director of Human Resource Business Partner Solutions. Currently, they are working as a Human Resource Manager at the City of Minneapolis. In addition to their professional career, Destiny also served as a Board Member at Hnub Tshiab: Hmong Women Achieving Together from 2013 to 2015, contributing to the organization's mission and vision to empower Hmong women.

Destiny Xiong began their education journey at Metro State University, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Resource Management from 2002 to 2005. Later, they attended the University of St. Thomas from 2007 to 2011, earning a Master of Arts degree in Human Resource and Change Leadership. In September 2019, they obtained the certification of Senior Certified Professional - Human Resource (IPMA-SCP) from the International Public Management Association (IPMA).
