Devin Ross has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Devin began their career as a Shift Supervisor at Starbucks, where they worked from November 2005 to July 2013. After that, Devin worked as a Paralegal at Cannon Disability Law from September 2013 to August 2016. Devin then joined Wedge Community Co-op as a Cheese Staff member in September 2016, where they excelled in recommending and assisting with cheese pairings and managing retail products. During their time at Wedge Community Co-op, Devin averaged $16,000 per week in cheese sales.
In 2017, Devin joined the City of Minneapolis, where they held multiple positions. As an Administrative Analyst II from May 2019 to June 2021, they oversaw and administered various projects, grants, and contracts. Devin also conducted studies and recommended modifications to management. Devin served on committees and task forces within the organization. Prior to this role, they worked as a Legal Support Specialist from October 2017 to May 2019, providing valuable support to the City Attorney's office. Devin attended Grossmont High School from 2002 to 2006, where they obtained their High School Diploma. After high school, Devin studied Linguistics at Brigham Young University from 2006 to 2011, although they did not obtain a specific degree during this time. Following their studies at BYU, they attended the University of Utah from 2011 to 2013 and earned a BA in Linguistics/TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages).
In addition to their formal education, Devin has obtained several certifications. In August 2013, they earned a Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages certification from the TESOL International Association. More recently, in August 2021, they obtained a Permaculture Design Certificate from Wild Abundance.
