Ibtisam Brown

Ibtisam Brown has a diverse range of work experience in the housing and social justice sectors. Ibtisam has worked as a Multifamily Housing Compliance Analyst for the City of Minneapolis, where they have led monitoring of the multifamily loan portfolio and ensured compliance with loan source requirements. Prior to this, they worked as a Housing Assistance Payment Officer for Minnesota Housing, managing contract and funding renewals for federally-funded rental assistance contracts.

Ibtisam has also held property management roles at StuartCo and Project for Pride in Living (PPL), where they supervised staff, marketed and leased units, and handled financial and administrative tasks. In addition, they have experience as a Housing Case Manager at Start Today Hennepin, managing client caseloads and assisting with housing applications and paperwork.

Before entering into the housing field, Ibtisam worked as an Office Coordinator for Migration and Refugee Services at Catholic Charities of Southern Nevada, where they created and organized client files and provided support to the case management team. Ibtisam has also provided administrative support for the Office for Social Justice at Catholic Charities of St. Paul and Minneapolis, compiling data and advocating for housing and racial equity.

Early in their career, Ibtisam worked as a Nanny through self-employment and held various roles at Point Loma Nazarene University, including Student Caller, Community Life Assistant, and Student Cafeteria Worker.
