Ross Jonak has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Ross currently works for the City of Minneapolis as the Manager of Special Projects & Business Support for Public Works - Sanitary Sewer. Prior to that, they held various roles in the City of Portland, including Supervisor II in the Bureau of Development Services and Administrative Supervisor II in the same department. Before their time in government, Jonak worked for Meals on Wheels People as the Operations & Programs Manager and Assistant Operations Officer. Ross also has experience in the nonprofit sector, having worked for the Hoffberger Foundation as an Assistant to the Foundation. Additionally, Jonak served as an Americorps VISTA member for both Habitat for Humanity International and St. Vincent de Paul of Baltimore. Ross began their career as a Senior Design Engineer at Sharp Electronics, specializing in FPGA Design.

Ross Jonak completed their bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Portland between 1996 and 2000. Ross further pursued higher education and earned their Masters in Public Administration from the University of Baltimore from 2005 to 2007. Prior to that, Ross completed their high school education at Lewis & Clark High School from 1992 to 1996.
