Jonathan Karlen is a State Representative for the State of Montana, serving since November 2022 with involvement in various session and interim committees focused on business, labor, natural resources, and environmental quality. In addition to legislative duties, Jonathan is a Wildlife/Natural Resources Researcher at the University of Montana and has held roles such as Undergraduate Research Assistant and Student Senator. Jonathan contributes to the CITY OF MISSOULA as a Climate and Energy Board Member and coaches for the Missoula Ski Education Foundation. Previous internship experiences include positions with the United States Senate, U.S. Forest Service, and Arizona Game and Fish Department. Jonathan holds a Master of Public Administration specializing in public policy and a Bachelor's degree in Wildlife Biology with a focus on climate change studies from the University of Montana.
