Candace Cooksey

Candace Cooksey has extensive experience in communications, political consulting, and fundraising. Candace is currently the Director of Communications for the City of Mobile, AL. Prior to that, they were a founding partner at Alexander Cooksey, LLC, a political consulting and fundraising firm. At Alexander Cooksey, they worked with clients at all levels of government and provided government relations and communications consulting for corporations and non-profits. Candace also served as the Political Director and Press Secretary for Sandy Stimpson's mayoral campaign and worked as a Project Manager at Strategy, Inc., where they managed PR, communications, and marketing projects. Candace Cooksey began their career as a Publicist at the Wilhelmina Dan Agency.

Candace Cooksey attended The University of Southern Mississippi from 2002 to 2006. Candace obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree, majoring in Broadcast/Journalism and Political Science. In 2005, they also briefly studied Comparative British Politics at King's College London.
