Tony Loete has extensive work experience in the utility sector, specifically in water and wastewater management. Tony currently serves as the Utilities Director for the City of Moline, where they oversee operations for drinking water and wastewater for a community of 45,000 residents. In this role, they manage six subordinate supervisors and a total of 60 employees in a unionized environment. Prior to their current position, Tony worked as the Water Distribution Manager for the City of Moline for over 25 years. In this role, they were responsible for managing the operation, maintenance, and repair of the city's water distribution system, which spans 240 miles of main. Tony also ensured the continuous supply of safe water to the community and managed utility billing for water, sewer, stormwater, and solid waste/recycling.

From 1998 to 2021, Tony Loete attended Western Illinois University, where they pursued a Bachelor's degree in General Studies/Accounting.
