Matt Sierk has extensive law enforcement experience, currently serving as a Police Officer for the City of Monroe, NC since January 2018 and as a Probation Parole Officer for the North Carolina Department of Public Safety since January 2014. In the role of high-risk supervision officer located in Union County, Matt Sierk has received extensive training in arrest search and seizure and has successfully led joint operations with various agencies, including the United States Marshall Service, Homeland Security, and the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Prior to these roles, Matt Sierk worked as a sales agent for Red Ventures from November 2013 to January 2014. Matt Sierk earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Wingate University between 2008 and 2012.

The city even has future plans to include a greenway to connect all of the city's parks. With a boast of amenities such as these, it is no wonder Monroe is an up-and-coming city. Yet, despite all its progressive growth and energy, Monroe still maintains the charm of a true southern town.
