Larry Lester

Larry Lester currently serves as the City Manager for the City of Monroe, Ohio, since January 2024. Prior to this role, Larry held various positions at the City of Hilliard, Ohio from July 1999 to January 2024, including Operations Director, Deputy Director of Public Service, Right-of-Way Services Manager, and Engineering Technician. Earlier in Larry's career, positions included Signal Electrical Worker and Seasonal Maintenance Worker at the City of Dublin, Ohio from June 1993 to July 1999. Larry Lester has an extensive academic background, holding a Doctor of Philosophy in Organizational Leadership from Southeastern University, a Master of Public Administration from Ohio University, a Bachelor of Science in Business Management with a focus on Organizational Leadership from Urbana University, and an Associate of Science in Civil Engineering Technology from Columbus State Community College.
