Benoit Dorais has served as the Mayor of the Sud-Ouest Borough and Vice-President of the Executive Committee of the City of Montreal since November 2009. In the current mandate (2021-2025), Benoit Dorais oversees housing, real estate strategy, legal affairs, and strategic real estate projects, while also managing several housing corporations and serving on various committees, including the Agglomeration Council of Montreal. Previous roles include President of the Executive Committee (2017-2021) with responsibilities in administration, finance, and human resources, and serving as a school commissioner within the Commission scolaire de Montréal (2007-2012). Benoit Dorais has also held political assistant roles in the House of Commons, contributing to press communications and representing elected officials at various events. Education includes studies at UQAM and Collège de Bois-de-Boulogne.
