Carolyn Hope (Mayer)

Carolyn Mayer Hope is a seasoned public administration professional with extensive experience in city management and park planning. Currently serving as Deputy City Manager for the City of Mountlake Terrace since June 2023, Carolyn previously held positions as Parks, Recreation and Cultural Services Director and Interim City Manager at the City of Burien from February 2020 to June 2023. Earlier roles include Park Planning, Arts & Culture Manager and Senior Park Planner at the City of Redmond and Perteet Inc., respectively. Carolyn's career also encompasses various environmental consulting positions and management roles with companies such as Philip Services Corporation and Arthur D. Little. Academically, Carolyn holds a Master’s degree in Environmental Studies from Yale University and a BA in Public Administration and Political Science from the University of Maine.
