Chelsea Barr

Chelsea Barr has a diverse background in communications and marketing with significant experience in both public and private sectors. Currently serving as a Communications Clerk for the City of Nanaimo since February 2017, Chelsea specializes in marketing and communications for Parks and Recreation. Previously, Chelsea worked as a Destination Marketing Officer for the Nanaimo Economic Development Corporation / Tourism Nanaimo, where notable achievements include the creation of the Nanaimo Bar Trail. Chelsea's career also includes a role as a Communications Clerk for the City of Nanaimo focused on media relations and travel trade, and experience as a Wedding and Banquet Coordinator at Arbutus Ridge Golf Club. Chelsea holds a Bachelor’s degree in Tourism Management from Vancouver Island University.
