Emily Oliver

Emily Oliver serves as the Public Outreach and Communications Director for the City of New Orleans since June 2024, following a role as Communications Manager at STEM NOLA. Prior experience includes Communications and Events Manager at UNO Research & Technology Foundation, where significant accomplishments included brand refinement and social media growth. Emily has a strong background in managing non-profit communications, brand awareness, and event coordination from positions held at HEARD Strategy & Storytelling and Planned Parenthood Gulf Coast. Earlier roles at IT Coalition and Northlake Behavioral Health System focused on improving internal communication and ensuring compliance with health standards. Emily holds a Bachelor of Science in Communications Journalism with a Public Relations minor from Shippensburg University and is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Nonprofit Administration at LSU Shreveport.
