John Krawchuk

Director Of Historic Preservation at City of New York

John Krawchuk is the Director of Historic Preservation at the City of New York Parks & Recreation, a position held since 2002, where responsibilities include developing and implementing restoration programs for historic houses, structures, monuments, and landscapes, as well as overseeing preservation staff and managing project fundraising and coordination. Prior to this role, John served as Preservation Project Manager at the same organization from 1997 to 2002. Educational credentials include a Master's degree in Historic Preservation from Columbia University, a Certificate in Preservation/Conservation from Attingham Summer School, and dual Bachelor's degrees in Landscape Architecture from California State Polytechnic University-Pomona. John completed secondary education at Damien High School.
