Reuben Torres

Reuben Torres is an experienced communications professional currently serving as the Deputy Director of Communications and previously as Press Secretary for the Office of the Manhattan Borough President, Mark Levine, since February 2022. Prior to this, Reuben worked as a News Reporter for Univision Communications Inc., where coverage included transportation, immigration, education, health, arts and culture, and local politics. Reuben also held roles as a Contributing Writer for Third Bridge Creative and Remezcla, contributing to various publications focused on music and arts. Additional experience includes serving as a Television News Producer for NY1 Noticias and hosting a podcast centered on arts and culture. Reuben holds a Master of Science in Journalism from Columbia University and a Bachelor of Arts in Film & Digital Media from the University of California, Berkeley.
