Michael Ferrara

Michael Ferrara has over 30 years of experience in law enforcement, starting as a Police Lieutenant in the City of Newburgh NY Police Department in July 1989. Michael then progressed to the role of Police Captain in January 1992. From July 1994 to December 2010, Ferrara served as the Deputy Chief of Police at the City of Newburgh Police Department. In December 2010, they became the Chief of Department, responsible for managing and overseeing the department's operations, budgeting, and personnel.

Michael Ferrara obtained their Associate of Arts and Sciences (A.A.S.) degree in Criminal Justice/Police Science from Dutchess Community College from 1970 to 1972. Later, in 1972-1973, they attended Marist College, where they pursued studies in Criminal Justice. Finally, from 1994 to 1996, Michael Ferrara attended Alliance University, where they obtained a Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) degree in Christian Theology/Organizational Management.
