James Campbell

James Campbell has extensive work experience in the planning and development field. James started their career in 1990 as an Assistant-Associate Planner at the City of Carson, California, where they worked until 2000. Then they joined the City of Newport Beach in 2000 as a Senior Planner and held that position until 2009. From 2009 to 2017, they were promoted to the role of Principal Planner. Currently, they serve as the Deputy Community Development Director at the City of Newport Beach, a position they have held since November 2017.
