Museum Educational Program Coordinator at City of Newport News

Gabrielle Pressley currently serves as the Museum Educational Program Coordinator for the City of Newport News, a position held since October 2024. Prior to this role, Gabrielle gained experience as a Museum Education Intern at the United States Army Women’s Museum and as a Living History Interpreter with the Jamestown-Yorktown Foundation. Additionally, Gabrielle worked as a Storyteller for the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation and participated as a Graduate Apprentice with The Lemon Project: A Journey of Reconciliation. Gabrielle also has a background in education, having served as a Social Studies Teacher at Bluestone High School and as an IB Teacher at Westlake Academy. Previous experience includes serving as a Server with Vaquero Club, Inc. and Movie Tavern Inc., and acting as a Substitute Teacher for Lewisville ISD. Gabrielle's education includes a Master of Arts in History from William & Mary and a Bachelor of Arts in History from High Point University. Further academic experiences include studying at NOLS, Université Paris-Est Créteil, and Semester At Sea.
