Nathan Powell

Nathan Powell is an accomplished Parks and Recreation Director with extensive experience in managing diverse recreational facilities and programs. Currently serving as the Parks and Recreation Director for the City of Norfolk, Nebraska, since December 2021, Nathan previously held the same title in the City of Mitchell, South Dakota, where significant contributions included developing departmental master plans and securing grants. Nathan's earlier roles include Parks Management Specialist at Montana State Parks, leading operations for multiple state parks, and Camp Director at Camp Chinquapin, managing recreation programs. An entrepreneur as the Owner/Operator of Powell Landscaping, Nathan demonstrated skills in business management. Nathan holds a Master's degree in Parks & Recreation Administration from California State University-Sacramento and a Bachelor's degree in Parks and Recreation Management from Northern Arizona University.
