Karyn Bernas

Karyn Bernas currently serves as the Talent & Organizational Development Manager for the City of Norfolk, VA, since June 2016. Prior to this role, Karyn held the position of Organization Development Manager for the Virginia Beach City Government from October 2015 to May 2016, acting as an internal consultant to City leadership by providing strategic planning, change management, team building, leadership development, and customized workshops. Karyn's extensive experience in human resources began with the City of Norfolk from 2002 to October 2015, where Karyn worked as a Senior Human Resources Analyst focusing on training and organizational development. Karyn earned a Ph.D. in Industrial and Organizational Psychology from Old Dominion University.
