Emily Bustamante has a diverse work experience in the field of community services and recreation. Emily started their career at the City of Brea as a Contract Class Coordinator from June 2005 to December 2006. Emily then moved to the City of Orange and worked as a Recreation Services Coordinator from December 2006 to July 2011. During this time, they gained experience in coordinating recreational activities and programs. Afterward, they were promoted to the position of Recreation Services Supervisor at the City of Orange in July 2011. In this role, they managed youth programs, including summer camps and after-school programs, as well as oversaw aquatics, special events, partnerships, and marketing. Emily also supervised a team of two Recreation Coordinators and over 80 part-time staff members. Most recently, they were appointed as the Assistant Community Services Director at the City of Orange in July 2022.
Emily Bustamante attended California State University, Fullerton from 2002 to 2004. Emily obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences/Liberal Studies during their time there.
