Russell Schaedlich is a seasoned urban planning professional with extensive experience in municipal administration. Currently serving as the City Planner for the City of Painesville, Russell previously held the position of Township Administrator for Concord Township in Lake County from 1991 until December 2002. Russell's academic background includes a Master of City & Regional Planning and a Master's in Public Administration from The Ohio State University, complemented by a Bachelor of Arts in Urban & Regional Planning from Miami University.

Settled in 1800, Painesville is the county seat of Lake County, Ohio and is located along the beautiful Grand River, roughly 30 miles northeast of Cleveland. Painesville is home to Lake Erie College, Morley Library and a dynamic historical downtown district. It is named after General Edward Paine who served in the Revolutionary War and settled in the area shortly after. Painesville has a population of over 19,000 per the 2010 census.
