Joel Montalvo, P.E., MPA, currently serves as City Engineer and Assistant Director of Engineering for the City of Palm Springs since August 2018. Prior to this role, Joel Montalvo held the position of Senior Engineer at the City of Palm Desert from October 2012 to August 2018. Additional experience includes serving as Project Manager - Civil Engineer at NAI Consulting from June 2010 to September 2012 and as Project Manager at RBF Consulting, a Company of Michael Baker International, from June 2000 to 2010. Joel Montalvo holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from California State Polytechnic University-Pomona and a Master of Public Administration from California State University-San Bernardino.
