Steve Pougnet

Steve Pougnet serves as the Mayor and Councilmember of the City of Palm Springs, California, since 2003. Prior to this role, Steve Pougnet held significant positions at the Colorado School of Mines from 1991 to 2001, including Vice President of Institutional Advancement, where responsibilities included oversight of fundraising and development programs, and Director of Corporate and Foundation Relations, focusing on securing corporate and private foundation support. Earlier career experience includes serving as Associate Director of Corporate and Foundation Relations at Michigan State University, contributing to a major capital campaign. Steve Pougnet earned a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from Michigan State University in 1985.
