City of Peekskill
Leo Dylewski has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Leo started their career in 1984 at Westchester County Playland as a Safety Inspector, Senior Maintenance Mechanic, and Trainer. In 1999, they joined the NYC DEP Police Department as a Police Officer before transitioning to the City of Peekskill, Westchester County, New York in 2000 as a Police Officer trained in Juvenile Matters, DARE Officer, GREAT Officer, and Instructor Development Officer. In 2014, Leo became a Patrol Sergeant at City of Peekskill, and later in 2017, they took on the role of Patrol Lieutenant Watch Commander. Leo recently joined the City of Peekskill as the Chief of Police in September 2021.
Leo Dylewski completed their Master of Public Administration (M.P.A.) degree with a concentration in Public Management from Marist College, where they studied from 2013 to 2016. Prior to that, they earned their Bachelor's degree from SUNY Empire State College from 2011 to 2013. Their Bachelor's degree focused on Community and Human Services with a concentration in Criminal Justice.
