Angela (Miller) Dixon has a diverse work experience that spans various roles and industries. Angela most recently served as the Deputy Director of Design & Construction at the City of Philadelphia, starting in February 2022. Prior to that, they held the position of Acting Director of Design & Construction at the same organization. Angela also worked as the Director of Fundraising at the Managing Director's Office, Rebuild from June 2020 to August 2021. Prior to joining the City of Philadelphia, Angela was the Director of Planning at the Office of Transportation & Infrastructure Systems from January 2016 to June 2020. Angela also had a brief tenure as the Deputy Director of Initiatives at the Mayor's Office of Transportation & Utilities from June 2015 to December 2015. Before transitioning into the public sector, Angela worked at IKEA as a Local Marketing Specialist for three years. Angela began their career at Hurley Franks and Associates, where they served as an Associate Planner for nearly 10 years.
Angela Dixon pursued a Master of City Planning degree from the University of Pennsylvania from 2001 to 2003. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Urban & Regional Planning and Sociology from Miami University, graduating in 2001. Angela completed their high school education at Magnolia High School from 1993 to 1997.
