Miriam Cherayil is a Smart Infrastructure Project Manager at the City of Philadelphia, where work commenced in October 2023 within the Office of Innovation & Technology. Previously, Miriam served as a Design Fellow at PennPraxis from June 2022 to May 2023, focusing on the Penn Commuter survey and nighttime economy planning. Prior to that, Miriam worked at Wayfair as a Software Engineer II and Software Engineer from September 2018 to July 2021. Early career experience includes a role as a Circulation Assistant at Mount Holyoke College from February 2015 to May 2018 and as a Software Development Intern at Edcite in June 2016. Miriam holds a Master's degree in City/Urban, Community and Regional Planning from the University of Pennsylvania (2021-2023) and a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science from Mount Holyoke College (2014-2018). Education also includes an International Baccalaureate from Greenwood High International School, Bangalore (2012-2014), and earlier schooling at Sophia High School, Bangalore (1999-2012).
