Eric Christopher Contakos

Eric Christopher Contakos, B.S. H.T., serves as the Inspections Supervisor in the Department of Public Works for the City of Pittsburgh since June 2022, overseeing Public Works Inspectors and managing operational aspects of environmental services enforcement. Previous experience includes roles at Quest Diagnostics as a Quality Assurance Manager, where guidance on licensing and compliance was provided, and at Senior LIFE PA as a Quality Assurance Performance Improvement Coordinator. Earlier work involved quality assurance positions at Omnyx - GE Healthcare/UPMC and AmeriPath, with a focus on regulatory compliance and training coordination. Eric also has robust experience in environmental health and safety from tenure at the Virginia and Florida Departments of Health, conducting inspections and risk assessments.
