Heather Buchanan

Heather Buchanan has experience working in various roles and industries. Heather started their career in 2000 as an Administrative Assistant at Idaho State University. After six years, they joined ON Semiconductor as an HR Business Partner and Stock Admin. From 2008 to 2011, they worked as an HRIS Analyst at Idaho State University. Heather then returned to ON Semiconductor as an Application Security Analyst from 2015 to 2016. In 2016, they joined the City of Pocatello as an HR Consultant before being promoted to Human Resources Director. Heather is currently working as a Trustee at HRA VEBA, starting in 2019.

Heather Buchanan has a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in English from Idaho State University. Heather also holds a Master of Public Administration (MPA) degree, also from Idaho State University, with a field of study in Public Administration. In addition to their academic qualifications, Heather has obtained two certifications: Certified Labor Relations Professional (CLRP) from the NATIONAL PUBLIC EMPLOYER LABOR RELATIONS ASSOCIATION and IPMA-HR Senior Certified Professional (IPMA-SCP) from the International Public Management Association. Heather earned the CLRP in November 2019 and the IPMA-SCP in July 2019.
