Nicole Forbes currently serves as the Clean Air Construction Program Coordinator for the City of Portland, where responsibilities include overseeing compliance with Clean Air Construction standards to minimize diesel emissions at various regional construction sites. Previous experience includes roles in project coordination during the transition to a multi-member city council, managing civic engagement initiatives at the Oregon Food Bank, and organizing efforts with SEIU Local 49 to support workers in forming unions. Forbes also contributed to environmental conservation as a Conservation Organizer for Friends of the Columbia Gorge and as a Field Organizer for Environment Oregon, where campaign coordination and volunteer mobilization were key functions. Forbes holds a BA in Political Science, with a minor in Environmental Ethics and Policy, from the University of Portland.
