Monte Bohanan

Monte Bohanan is a seasoned communications and marketing professional, currently serving as the Director of Communications and Community Engagement for the City of Portsmouth, NH, since February 2023. In this role, Monte coordinates a range of internal and external communications, supporting various city departments and enhancing community engagement. With extensive experience as the Owner of Tide Mill Studio since December 2008, Monte specializes in strategic marketing for new and small businesses, as well as nonprofits. Previously, Monte held multiple positions at The Music Hall from 2001 to 2023, including Director of Communications & Community Engagement, where responsibilities involved overseeing marketing strategies, publicity, and technology management. Monte also holds a B.A. in Humanities from the University of New Hampshire.
