Monika Mayfield

Monika Mayfield, CMC, has extensive experience in municipal and court administration, currently serving as the Senior Deputy City Clerk for the City of Portsmouth, Virginia since October 2019, with a Master Municipal Clerk certification in progress. Prior to this role, Monika worked as a Deputy City Clerk at the City Clerk's Office from June 2015 to October 2019, where the Certified Municipal Clerk Certification was achieved in September 2019. Previous positions include Customer Service Representative at QVC Chesapeake Inc. and a long tenure at the Virginia Beach General District Court, ultimately serving as Retired Supervising Deputy Clerk. Monika’s educational background includes certifications from the International Institute of Municipal Clerks and the National Center for State Courts, along with business administration training from the Mid Management Development Program in Virginia Beach.
