Rachel Smith

Rachel Smith is a seasoned communications professional currently serving as Chief Communications Officer for the City of Rahway since March 2024, where responsibilities include public engagement and media relations. Prior to this role, Rachel was Chief of Staff for Assemblywoman Sadaf Jaffer and held various positions at The Aubrey Group, LLC, including Project Manager and Senior Research Analyst. Rachel also contributed as Critical Needs Outreach Coordinator for the New Jersey Pandemic Relief Fund and as an intern in several governmental and nonprofit organizations. Rachel earned a Bachelor's degree in Women's, Gender, and Sexuality Studies and Communication Studies from The College of New Jersey and has furthered education at The European Study Center in Heidelberg, Germany.
