Carl Wilkins II

Carl Wilkins II, M.A., is a dedicated professional with extensive experience in the arts and communications sectors. Currently serving as the City of Raleigh Arts Commissioner, Carl aims to connect people to the arts and foster a vibrant creative community. As an appointed member of the Museum Advisory Commission for the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences, Carl contributes to enhancing the museum's educational mission. Previous roles include managing strategic communications for the North Carolina Association of County Commissioners and coordinating the NC Say Something platform for the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction. Carl's diverse background includes experience in marketing, human resources, and project management, along with academic contributions as a guest lecturer. Carl holds a Master of Arts in Liberal Studies with a focus on Museum Studies and Cultural Resources from North Carolina State University.
