Megan Berner currently serves as the Arts & Culture Manager and Public Art Program Coordinator for the City of Reno since August 2017. With extensive experience as a self-employed artist since 2003, Megan specializes in photography, video art, installation art, vexillography, exploration, and book art. Prior roles include Portfolio Reviewer for LensCulture, Adjunct Faculty Instructor at Truckee Meadows Community College, and Lecturer at the University of Nevada Reno, where Megan taught various photography courses and created curricula. Additional experience includes managing the Hands ON! Program at the Nevada Museum of Art, freelance writing for Reno News and Review, and working as a Visual Research Associate with the Great Basin Institute. Megan holds an MFA in Art/Intermedia from the University of Iowa and a BA in Photography and Spanish from the University of Nevada, Reno.
