Aliya Shariff

Aliya Shariff is an experienced Human Resources professional with a diverse background in various roles. Currently serving as a Human Resources Advisor and previously as a Human Resources Associate at the City of Richmond since September 2019, Aliya has extensive experience from Cummins Inc., where roles included Senior Human Resources Advisor and Recruiter from February 2012 to August 2019, covering the Northern Alberta region. Earlier experience includes coordinating HR and customer relations at African Organic Farming and Fair Trade from June 2004 to August 2008. Aliya holds a BA in Political Science from The University of British Columbia, a Master's degree in Human Resources Management from University College Dublin, a Certificate in Professional Teacher Education from Aga Khan University, and completed a course in Employment Law at the British Columbia Institute of Technology.
