Rustin Banks is the Chief of Police for the City of Rocklin, a position held since December 2021. Prior to this role, Rustin Banks served in various capacities at Solano County from January 2005 to December 2021, including Captain, Lieutenant, Sergeant, and Deputy Sheriff. Additionally, Rustin Banks was an Adjunct Criminal Justice Professor at Sierra College from 2012 until December 2021. Rustin Banks began a military career as a Sergeant in the United States Marine Corps from 2000 to 2004. Educationally, Rustin Banks earned a Master’s Degree in Criminology from Arizona State University between 2011 and 2013 and a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminology from Portland State University from 2006 to 2009.
