Monique Larocque Ashton

Monique LaRocque Ashton has served as the Mayor and City Council Member for the City of Rockville since November 2019. Prior to this, Monique held the position of Executive Vice President at Ogilvy Health from September 2006 to February 2024. Additionally, Monique worked as a Public Health and Science Communications Advisor for the Office of Minority Health at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services between 2002 and 2006 and participated in the Presidential Management Fellowship program at the same department from 2002 to 2004. Monique LaRocque Ashton earned a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree in International Health Policy and Programs from the George Washington University School of Public Health and Health Services and received a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Public Health Education and Policy, with a minor in Women's Studies, from New York University.
