Lisa Kaplan

Lisa Kaplan serves as a City Councilwoman for the City of Sacramento, a position held since December 2022, while also being the Principal and Attorney at Kaplan Law Group since February 2011, focusing on the interests of individuals, public entities, and corporations in governmental and legal matters. Kaplan has a long history in educational governance, having been a Trustee and Board of Trustees Member for Natomas Unified from 2002 to 2022, and is an active member of the California School Board Association. Additional leadership roles include past President of the Jewish Federation of Greater Sacramento Region and various positions within Rotary International. Kaplan's earlier experience includes legislative roles and a Juris Doctorate from the University of the Pacific - McGeorge School of Law.
