Danielle Palma

Danielle Palma is currently serving as the Head of Human Resources at the City of Safford since January 2022. In this role, they are responsible for planning, organizing, directing, and implementing various activities of the Human Resources department, including compensation and benefit programs, recruitment, selection, testing, and employee relations programs.

Prior to joining the City of Safford, Danielle worked at Mt. Graham Regional Medical Center from 2007 to 2022. Throughout their tenure, they held several roles within the Human Resources department, including Human Resources Manager, Human Resources Supervisor, Human Resources Generalist Lead, Human Resource Generalist, and Employment Specialist.

Danielle'sresponsibilities at Mt. Graham Regional Medical Center included overseeing HR initiatives and strategies aligned with company goals, managing recruitment, benefits, employee relations, performance management, compensation, and legal compliance, mentoring HR staff, and facilitating the orientation of new HR Generalists.

Danielle also has previous work experience at Walmart and Thriftee Food & Drug, where they served as a Cashier/Floor Associate and Office Assistant, respectively.

Danielle Palma graduated in 2019 from Western Governors University, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Resources Management and Services. Prior to that, they attended Eastern Arizona College from 2005 to 2007, obtaining an Associate's degree in Business Administration. In addition to their formal education, Danielle Palma has also earned a certification as a Certified Professional from SHRM in September 2016.
